Hollie Releases New Song for Charity

Hollie Steel loved the song Pokarekare Ana from the moment she heard Hayley Westenra’s version, so we decided to record it.  The song was recorded back in January. However, when Hollie saw on the news the terrible devastation caused by the Christchurch earthquake in New Zealand, she asked if we could use the song to help the poor people in New Zealand.

We proceeded to contact the official charities involved in helping and to our delight Save The Children agreed to endorse the single. All funds raised for the single will go to help all those affected by the earthquake.

Please note that this video has sound protection. This version of the song is now the SAVE THE CHILDREN New Zealand’s official fundraising single for the Christchurch earthquake appeal. Please help Hollie raise money for this worthy charity.

Download now and tell your friends. It is available now to download on itunes and Amazon.

The 6 best female singers ever, under the age of 13

Hollie Steel Princess

Here they are-unranked

by Mike Sutton

Anyone who knows me, knows that I love Connie Talbot’s voice, energy and personality. She makes it so easy to be her fan. However; I also like what the other young singers do as well. This list is not going to rank or place anyone. This is just a list of who I think the best ever were. Remember, if you are a Whitney Houston or Jessica Simpson fan, that’s fine, but please look at the nature of the list before you leave a comment.

Here they are in alphabetical order:

Jackie Evancho – A ten year old Opera sensation from America’s got Talent. Jackie certainly does!

Aileen Quinn – Who can forget the little orphan who our hearts in Annie-The Motion Picture. She kept singing and getting us thinking about…Tomorrow-the greatest day ever.

Hollie Steel – Another young star from Britain’s Got Talent. She had a heart breaking episode in the semi-finals, but then came out for a retry and behaved like a real pro! What a voice!

Connie Talbot – The little girl who changed the “nasty” Simon from Britain’s got talent. Connie has had number one hits in the U.S. and other countries as well and she is only 10!

Shirley Temple – The Little actress with the red curls. Yes, she could sing, and so many flocked to her her movies, when she was in grade school. She will be remembered for many songs, especially “The Good Ship Lolly pop”.

Taylor Ware – She yodeled on America’s got Talent like no other! She is fun to listen to because of voice and her energy. Her home town in Tennessee even dedicated a day of the year to her!

There they are. I know that there are many others out there. Try to remember that most of them are very young performers and try to post nice comments.

Hollie Steel is Inspirational!

Hollie Steel inspirationalBig Inspiration in a Small Package

This article below was written by Todd, a big fan of Hollie’s.

This is a true story of inspiration and I write it with some hesitation and bravery, because I am a grown man of 48 years. I have a terrible fear of heights and can’t be up off the floor more than about 5 feet ( 2 meters ). I have been working on painting the inside of my house now for over one month. I started off very well until I reached the top center part of the wall. It is about 15 feet ( 5 meters ) to the top. As I climbed the ladder, my knees became weak and my hands were sweating badly. I managed to finish the one wall. That’s when the project came to a stop.

The unfinished walls, the paint and the brushes all sat for over 3 weeks. With my wife and kids joking me about the painting project that will last all year, I sat laughing with them to embarrassed to tell anyone I was scared to death to get back on the ladder.

Trying to find the courage to finish, I started thinking of one little 11 year old girl who found the courage, to step back on stage, in front of millions, to finish what she had started. With that one warm thought of the bravest little girl in the world, out came the ladders, out came the paint and out came the brushes. With my iPod in my ears and a brush in my hand, up the ladder I went.

While painting at the top of the ladder, my daughter stopped by and asked……dad, who are you listening to? The picture to the right says it all. No one ever knows where their bravery, their courage, their inspiration will come. For me it came from a little 11 year old girl named Hollie.

Thanks for being a big inspiration in a small package.

Hollie Steel Brings the House Down at Carnegie Hall

Hollie Steel has, according to reports, given a stunning performance at Carnegie Hall in New York. It was touch and go whether Hollie would perform or not as she was waiting for her Visa to arrive – but arrive it did and Hollie was able to go to the US for her first public appearance there.

Mick Uhl, a big fan of Hollie’s, watched the show, and he said: “Hollie did not just do well. She received the loudest longest applause of the night. People were cheering her. She stole the show in the finale, O Holy Night. The other singers just looked at her with amazement. I still can’t get over her success. There was a standing ovation at the end. Even though it was probably for the concert, I think Hollie had a lot to do with it. To hear her sing live and hit those pure high notes makes me so happy. I couldn’t stop hugging her afterwards, I was so proud of and happy for her.”
